We just started learning about and exploring ways to be responsible on the Internet in order to leave a positive digital footprint behind. During this activity today you are going to discuss how you respect the privacy of others online.
Learning Objectives: Students will be able to ...
- Learn that it is the responsibility of digital media users to respect the personal information and privacy of others.
- Understand how putting information about others online could compromise their own reputation or their relationships with others.
- Generate ideas about how to respect the privacy of others.
Choose a case study below, every member of the triad should agree on which case study will be read. Read the case study silently on your own. After you have read the case study, read and answer the "Debate Questions" with your triad. Write your answers on a piece of looseleaf paper. Make sure you listen to each other and give ample opportunity for each member of the triad to speak. If you have time choose another case study to work on. Pick a member of the triad to share out at the end of the class.
